Change camera or microphone access for an app

Use Privacy & Security to change which apps may use the camera or microphone.

Review a permission later even if you allowed or denied it before.

When this helps

An app generally appears after it has requested access to that hardware feature.

STEPS

How to do it

Open camera or microphone privacy

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security, then tap Camera or Microphone.

Change the app permission

Find the app in the list and turn its camera or microphone access on or off as desired.

When you are done

You are done when the app camera or microphone switch is in the state you want.

If an app does not appear, it may not have requested that permission yet.
