Allow selected people or apps during a Focus

Choose people or apps that may notify you while a Focus is active.

Keep only the people or apps you need as allowed exceptions.

When this helps

The Focus you want to edit must already exist.

STEPS

How to do it

  1. 1

    Choose a Focus

    Go to Settings > Focus, then choose the Focus you want to change.

  2. 2

    Choose people or apps

    Tap People or Apps, then choose Allow Notifications From.

  3. 3

    Add allowed notifications

    Tap the add button and select the people or apps you want to hear from while the Focus is active.

When you are done

You are done when the selected people or apps appear under allowed notifications.

Good to know

Time Sensitive Notifications, Emergency Bypass, and other exceptions can affect notification behavior.
