Change contact access for an app

Use Privacy & Security to change how much of your contacts an app can access.

You can allow, deny, or where supported limit access to selected contacts.

When this helps

The app must have requested access to Contacts.

How to do it

Open Contacts privacy

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Contacts, then tap the app.

Choose the access range

Choose the contact access level you want. If Limited Access is available, use Edit Selected Contacts to choose specific contacts.

When you are done

You are done when contact access for the app is set to the range you want.
